Andorra

Andorra is a tiny but remarkable country located high in the Pyrenees mountains, sandwiched between France and Spain. With a population of only about 80,000 people, it is celebrated for its dramatic landscapes, world-class ski resorts, and duty-free shopping opportunities . Despite its small size, Andorra has gained a strong reputation as one of Europe’s most appealing places to live . One of the main reasons foreigners settle in Andorra is its favorable tax system . The country imposes very low personal income taxes and almost no corporate tax, making it a magnet for entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals who want to reduce expenses and retain more of their earnings. This financial advantage clearly distinguishes Andorra from its much larger neighbors. Yet, Andorra’s attraction is not purely financial. The country offers a high level of safety, minimal pollution, and abundant opportunities for outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. Families are parti...

Andorra: Small Country, Big Advantages

Andorra is a tiny country in the Pyrenees mountains, between France and Spain. With around 80,000 residents, it is known for its stunning landscapes, ski resorts, and duty-free shopping. Barcelona to Host PSG in Champions League at Olympic Stadium

Barcelona’s upcoming Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will be played at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium , because Camp Nou is still under renovation.  The match is scheduled for October 1, 2025 at 9:00 pm local time .  PSG enters with injury problems: their key defender Marquinhos has been sidelined with a thigh issue.  The Barcelona side is also struggling with absences, including Raphinha and Gavi , which may force tactical changes.   In previews, analysts predict a tactical battle. Barcelona might try to control possession and dominate the midfield, while PSG could aim to catch Barça on the counterattack using their speed.   Historically, the Barcelona–PSG clash has produced dramatic matches — such as the famous “remontada” in 2017, when Barcelona overturned a 4–0 first-leg deficit by winning 6–1 at home.   For Barcelona, hosting this game is significant. They hope to win at “home” (though in a...

Sport, Politics, and Protests in Spain

Spain’s Sports Minister Pilar Alegría recently argued that Israeli teams should be banned from international competitions, just like Russian teams were banned in 2022 after the invasion of Ukraine. She said there is a “double standard” because Russia faced sporting consequences, while Israel has not. Her comments came during Spain’s most famous cycling race, the Vuelta a España, where the Israeli team Israel-Premier Tech faced protests. Some stages of the race were shortened because of demonstrations. Alegría explained that sport cannot be separated from politics, especially when thousands of civilians are being killed in Gaza. At the same time, a second controversy appeared in Spanish football. During a match between Sevilla and Villarreal, some Sevilla fans chanted “Israel murders” at Israeli player Manor Solomon, who scored the winning goal. Fans also waved Palestinian flags and a supporters’ group said there was “no space for Zionists” in their stadium. The Federation of...
